Club Contest Rules

As a reminder, the rules for mounting and print size and slide marking information for Fox Valley Camera Club monthly competitions are below:

Information for prints:
A.      The maximum size of each entry will not exceed 16"x 20", including the mount. Entries may be smaller at your discretion.

B.       Mounts may be of any color the maker chooses.

C.       Entries using any kind of frame (metal, plastic or wood) will not be accepted for judging.

D.      All entries must be mounted. The mounting board must both support and provide a backing for the print.  A definition of a mounting board is: A two or four-ply cardboard on which a photograph is or is to be mounted.

E.        Mounting entries on foam core backing is accepted.

F.       The following Information must be on the back of the print in the upper left hand corner:
                (a) Name.
                (b) Category.
                (d) Title. (print must have a title and the title must be descriptive to be accepted).

G.       Write "Top" at the top center of the print to insure proper orientation. Prints will be displayed as marked.

Information for slides:
A.      All slides will be 2" square mounts.

B.       Slides must fit a projector tray holding 80 slides, (no glass mounts or taped mounts that interfere with projector operation).

C.       Affix a prominent mark to designate the lower left corner when viewed normally.  Slides will be viewed by the judges as      marked by the maker.

D.      Information on the slide must be oriented as follows:
     (a) Title. (slide must have a title and it must be descriptive to be accepted).
     (b) Identifying spot-mark. (see note "C" above)
     (c) Category.
